A Bag Lady By Any Other Name Smells The Same

A Bag Lady By Any Other Name Smells The Same

Synopsis for knuckle dragger's- Wash your clothes and yourself with ANTIBACTERIAL soap and you will no longer stink.

Hikers and people associated with the Hiker Community are familiar with the obnoxious;s fumes emanating from Hikers. It isn't the Hiker that one smells it is the Bacteria that has colonized the Hikers clothing and body that stinks. While anyone who isn't lazy or mentally incompetent can remove bodily bacteria through reasonable hygiene (A bar of anti bacterial soap such as DIAL applied with water), a thin film of antibacterial soap applied after washing not only impedes the profiliation of bacteria, this soap film will also kill minute deer ticks through the elimination of the oil film coats the ticks body, causing dehydration and resulting in the death of the tick,. The Bacteria is also readily removed from natural fabrics with machine or hand washing. The profiliation of synthetic materials has aided the growth of bacterial colonies, resulting in Hiker Stench.
Due to the water repellent properties of synthetic materials it is difficult to remove bacteria that has colonized ones clothes with detergent soaps. That is unless one uses an antibacterial soap. This soap can be applied in the wash cycle by either placing a bar of antibacterial soap or by pouring in antibacterial soap in liquid form.
Socializing is a part of hiking, The elimination of bacterial colonies in ones clothing and oneself will enhance this socializing.

note Humans do not have an exoskeleton that needs a film of oil to retard water loss, in other words “bathing with soap will not result in your death”

Appalachain Trail GPS Waypoints

What are these coordinates useful for? Among other uses these
waypoints when placed on your computer maps will mark the Appalachian
Trail Areas that need to be transfered to a hand held device. Usually
these hand held devices will hold four hundred waypoints, so with
these waypoints installed there will still remain two thirds more
space for your waypoints to be added. These waypoints don't mark every
turn of the Appalachian Trail, instead the "Cardinal turns are marked".
Should you have a topo map these Cardinal Points will speed up and
simplify finding the Applachain Trail Route
Sources researched were The National Geographic Topo Software
with some input from Garmens Map Source and Magellen Map Send. Where
there was conflict both sources were listed. Do not use this information
as your single hiking reference source. Appalachian trail markers have
priority as do trail reroutings over this data. Should these waypoints
seem to direct you over a cliff make the appreite decision or prove
Darwins theory concerning dead end evolution for the dumbest. As for
my Libiality Remember that this data is provided at no expense. If you
reuse this data give intellectual credit where credit is due, if for no
other reason than for the time that my intellectual property saved you.

Stay at a White Mountain Hut

Stay at a White Mountain Hut

The feats of the Hut Boys are legendary among AT Hikers; How these Hut Boys would carry loads in excess of one hundred pounds up the mountain paths to the Huts. There was a competition to see which Hut served the best meals and filled the guests. It was late afternoon too late to go on to the next Hut. In the White mountains hikers are required to use the Huts at night. (Through Hikers; Hikers who are hiking the entire trail are allowed to stay and eat at the huts in exchange for work.) Stepping inside the Hut I was warmly greeted by Doris who was earning college tuition by working as crew. The crew chief Jana The Hut (the n is pronounced as v) was in the back room with her boyfriend recovering from a long hike. Just then Gogirl stumbles into the room under
her sixty pound packboard load. Soon Doris was bandaging Gogirls scrapped knee, while we all sat eying the food on the packboard. Gogirl soon launched into chatter of her Heroic climb and how she can't use the pack boards head strap because it makes her fall over backwards. Jana the Huts boyfriend entered carrying a home made none standard packboard, He explained that as a feminist he believed that a woman could accomplish anything that a man could accomplish only better, that is why they make good bosses. So he made this packboard to help Jana The Hut pack in supplies. As Jana's feminist friend left through the door mentioning that all societal problems would be solved when women ran the world. Enter Joe Alumni (a former Hut Boy from twenty years ago); and with his wife Mrs. Sue Alumni. Joe noticed that none of the crew were carrying
fully loaded pack boards, the loads couldn't weigh more than seventy pounds and inquired as to what type of meals were served nowadays. Jana The Hut brilliantly explained that there was a misconception in placing emphasis on pack weight since there was wastage in food preparation. The importance of individual serving weight couldn't be ignored. The average weight of each serving has actually increased from twenty years ago. Jana The Hut returned to the crew room where her paper work awaited.
Gogirl spotted Eggshell approaching carrying a hundred pound plus packboard despite being warned by Jana The Hut about packing too much; Gogirl mentioning that it never fails when Jana The Hut is clear Eggshell shows up , must be E.S.P. Not exactly Eggshell has been interacting with Man hating Female Supremest since his third grade teacher; hence the reason for his moniker walking on eggshells. Eggshell was the impediment to Jana The Hut's desire of an all female crew, the secondary reason was that Doris, Eggshell, and Gogirl are gender equalists, that is they believe that a womens self valuation is not based on how well women achieve male traits as Jana The Hut believes, instead traits of both genders are to be appreciated and valued. That is a womens contributions to society are to be valued and respected and rewarded as are mens contributions.
During the evening meal there was much comment of how heavy the meal was while Jana The Hut sat glowing while soaking up the comments. Jello was served as the appetizer, the tender Pasta melted in your mouth and for dessert was sponge cake, at least it was Joe's estimation due to the water oozing onto the dish.
As is customary during the evening after dinner one of the crew will lecture on a topic of the
presenters choice. Jana The Hut's subject was the advancement of women, How at one time there was only Hut Boys while today there are crews with Women included. We were also informed how fortunate we were to have her in charge of the Hut. She was only working this season as a favor to the Green Mountain Club. One of the guests Joe, asked why there wasn't any men in charge of any of the Huts. Jana The Hut who couldn't pack more than half a load without her boy friends help, looked directly into the mans eye and replied that there weren't any qualified men. Joe mumbled something about femperical reasoning trumping empirical reasoning. Afterward we all commited on how Jana The Jana The Hut's lecture was that it was presented in a modest manner. Eying the line with bloated bladders forming as the restroom, Jana The Hut concluded the lecture and went into the crew room.
After breakfast came time to do my chore. Gogirl was busily directing the capping, removal, and placement of the drums. While Doris expertly rigged the hoist. Eggshell procured the empty barrels and the carrying stave's. When The Barrels were capped and staved, Doris and Gogirl stood with a strange expectant look while Eggshell, another hiker and I each grabbed three of the four stave ends. Sue Alumni saved the day by volunteering Joe for the fourth stave position. As We were porting the barrel Joe made a comment about Jana The Hut's equality lecture.

Appalachian Trail Mismanagement

Appalachian Trail Conference Mismanagement

There is what can be best described as hooliganism occurring on the Appalachian Trail. One can go to the website http://www.trailplace.com and read the sign up conditions to obtain through observation an insight of the types of troublemakers that are attracted to the Appalachian Trail. It is the intention of this article, that through examination that the non adherence of the Appalachian Trail Conference to guidelines established by the department of the Interior and willful violation of the law results in the endemic hooliganism occurring on the Appalachian Trail.
The National Forest Service discourages groups larger than five persons to hike on certain sections of the Appalachian Trail due to the environmental impact caused by these large groups. The Smokey Mountain National Park will also limit the amount of Appalachian Trail Hikers to less than five a day during peak periods. There is a certain Warren Doyle who annually hikes the entire trail with a large group of at least ten people. The Appalachian Trail Conference selects this person Warren Doyle who gives little regard to trail regulations especially in regard concerning the impact of large groups to train the ridge runners, these ridge runners among their duties is to enforce compliance concerning group size. The Appalachian Trail Conference through it's association with Warren Doyle, promotes a disregard of Trail Regulations.
These same Ridge Runners are often viewed as part of the Hooliganism problem, as can be ascertained by the observation that these Ridge Runners are banned from various facilities along the Appalachian Trail. An example being a church used as lodging at the Delaware Water Gap that displays a sign stating that ridge runners are not allowed. These Ridge Runners are volunteers who are often looking for a full time position with the forest service or a law enforcement agency. If there is no trouble there is no need for Ridge Runners and no chance to prove their worth. The Appalachian Trail Conference has created through it's use of Ridge Runners, a group that has a stake in an increase of trouble and other problems along the Appalachian Trail..
The Appalachian Trail Conference protects and encourages trouble some people through the recognition of the use of anonymous trail names. It is generally agreed and supported through example that with a cloak of anonymity people will exhibit behavior that would not occur should the identity of the person were known. Proper management policy would discourage the use of anonymity.
There are laws that state that there will be no discrimination in regard to a persons race concerning employment opportunities. The Appalachian Trail Conference can only find white candidates to fill its open positions.
There is an impression that the Appalachian Trail Conference through its actions, chooses which rules and regulations that it wants to observe. This disregard for the rules that the Conference deems inappropriate can be at best described mismanagement. It is not uncommon to hear the rank and file that it cannot support the present presidential administration's environmental polices. The Appalachian Trail Conference through its non compliance to Department of Interior policies demonstrates a bad example for the Rank and File of the Trail Community.
It can be surmised that the Appalachian Trail Conference has management issues through its conduct of non adherence to lawful hiring practices with regards to race. Furthermore the Appalachian Trail Conference's selection of Warren Doyle; Who through his conduct shows little regard to the trail regulations concerning environmental impact of large parties, in training ridge runners who are to enforce trail regulations. Lastly the creation of a class of volunteers (ridge runners) who gain an advantage through the increased frequency of trouble some behavior and problems. The Appalachian Trail Conference compounds these afore mentioned problems through the recognition of trail names which through anonymity emboldens deviants in regards to the law. The Appalachian Trail Conferences passive aggressive stance in regards to the secretary of the Department of the Interior on account of the administrations environmental policy sets a bad example for compliance to lawful regulations.

Institional Racism on the Appalachian Trail

THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL CONFERENCE A STUDY OF INSTUTIONAL RACISIM

Institutional Racism def: Is an unexpected racial proportional
divination of a selected population when this selected population is
compared with a general population. In the example of the
Appalachian Trail Community one would expect approximately one in two
members to be non white when compared to the general U.S. Population
where the white compared to the non white is approximately more one
in two (forty five percent).
It is generally agreed that the racial population of the United
States is comprised of approximately forty five percent of non white
People, of this same American population approximately fifteen
percent of the people are of some African Heritage descent and
approximately another fifteen percent of the American population is
f some Hispanic descent; these ethnic population porportions would
be expected to be found in large population groups. Should there be
less or more than fifteen percent of African or Hispanic each for a
total of 30 percent it would be assumed that this population group
was not randomly chosen, That this would be a selected group by basis
of race. In other words it would be an example of Institutional
Racism.
Institutional Racism as seen on the Appalachian Trail is overt,
that is noticeable. This Racism can statistically be proven as
intentional. Racism in a public instatution that receives federal
funds and manages public lands is illegal, unlawful, intolerable
and unacceptable. To the Trail Communities credit, An often asked
question is "why aren't there more minorities present"?
The Appalachian Trail Conference was formed when the federal
government required that the individual organizations (hiking clubs)
along the Appalachian Trail form as a single unit through which the
management of federal properties, public lands and the disbursement
of federal funds for the operation, management, and maintainance for
the Appalachian Trail could be provided. All the individual
organizations of the Appalacian Trail that agreed to be unified as a
group in order to receive federal funds provided through the
Appalachian Trail Conference, should be reviewed as a single unit
to determine whether they are in compliance with Federal Regulations
as pertaining to Race Discrimination. Individual clubs belonging to
the AT conference That receive federal funds as a unified part of a
whole unit should not be allowed to claim individual exemption on the
basis that it is a individual unit of the Appalachian Trail
Conference and that as a component has only a few compensated people
and/or positions.

What is the Appalachian Trail Conference?

The Appalachian Trail Conference self depreciatingly describes
itself as “a walk in the woods”. In fact the Appalchian Trail
Conference publishes maps, brochures, and books; manages various
lodging properties and offices; Coordinates Forestry Service Work
Crews, Events, Volunteers, the training of Citizan Patrols among
other activities.

Appalachian Trail Community Events The Gathering and Trail Days

The Appalachian Trail Community is composed mostly people
from outside the Appalachian Region. The Appalachian Trail Community
is a place where regional outsiders can socialize. That is when a
person from outside the region procures employment and moves to the
region, a person can gain a sense of belonging through association
with this community.

Benefits of th AT

Hiking provides an escape from every day boredom. You can escape
for a few hours or months to gather Yours thoughts and gain new
insights concerning your relationships back at work, home. Or
school.. A parent can spend time alone with their children away from
the distractions of home. Parents are often seen with a Thiern
Children chatting and bonding. Living out doors gives a person a
sense of self confidence, through self reliance. Camping experience
often proves of experience during disasters, such as floods,
hurricanes, earthquakes, naming a few. In the event of an emergency
there is no substitute for having a stove, tent, water purification
equipment, and tent stored in your abode; along with the knowledge
of their use.
The region along the Appalachian Mountains has a reputation of
clannishness. The vast majority of the Appalachian Trail Community
are transplants from other regions seeking employment, or business
opportunities; finding a social outlet by joining the Appalachian
Trail Community. In the White Mountain's it is said that it takes
four generations to become a Local.
